Our Team

In 2018, after nearly two decades of experience in the geotechnical consulting field, Steven founded SFA Geotechnical Inc. That company has now grown into Frontera Geotechnical Ltd., as others within the team take on leadership roles. 

He graduated from the geological engineering department at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001. After completing that degree, he moved to Vancouver and began his career as a geotechnical engineer working on a wide range of projects throughout British Columbia and the Yukon. He went on to complete a Master of Engineering degree at the University of British Columbia. Steven has worked on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, industrial and capital works projects. Steven has a keen interest in soft soil engineering, seismic analysis and liquefaction assessments. In his free time Steven enjoys spending time with his family, riding his mountain bike and organizing his garage.
